Why I love Real Estate
I've been drawn to real estate since I was a young adult learning from family investments in both commercial and residential properties. I appreciate the business side of sales and negotiation and the artistic side of design and architecture. My family designed and built our ranch house in Northern California incorporating the natural environment and necessities of running a cattle ranch. My most recent personal endeavor was the extensive remodel and addition I did to my North Admiral home in West Seattle. As a mom of two I was hands-on designing the new kitchen and living spaces for everyday family needs and enjoyment. In showing buyers homes I am meticulous in pointing out features that work and sometimes don't work. I also love brainstorming a space to explore its function and potential alteration. Having bought and sold three homes myself I understand both the stress and excitement of the real estate process. I'm here to serve both the buyer and seller as needed whether they are first time homebuyers or in another stage of home ownership.
Originally from Long Beach, California, I moved to Seattle in 1992 after graduating from UC Santa Barbara with a bachelors in Film Studies. I was quickly hooked by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I've lived in multiple neighborhoods of Seattle including Queen Anne,Magnolia and First Hill before settling in West Seattle where I purchased my first home in 1999. Since that time I've had my two children and bought and sold two more homes. I have a diverse professional background as a talent manager for an advertising agency, a commercial editing producer, business manager, and school teacher. My career development evolved as I merged my love of real estate and my desire to sell my own home. I was thrilled to reach this goal, co-listing and selling my own home over asking price in a softer Seattle market.
My greatest role is being a mom to my beautiful children, one now in college and the other in high school. We learn and laugh with each other every day, and enjoy exploring our natural environments. We love searching Alki beach for agates and roaming our old growth forest at Schmitz Park here in West Seattle.
At the age of 40 I ran my first half marathon and learned how to ski.
Dancing is one of my passions and I've studied many forms, including flamenco.
I love nearly every genre of music including country, classic rock, hip hop, opera and jazz.
I'm a first-generation Colombian on my mom's side, a daughter of the revolution from my dad's side, with plenty of Italian blood running through me as well.
I love city life and disappearing in the trees when needed.
